Thomas J. Sline, 74, a resident of Methuen, MA., passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in West Roxbury, MA.
Born in Lawrence, MA., Thomas was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He had worked for the United States Government in the Department of Defense. Prior to that he had worked at Massachusetts Electric Company. Thomas was a United States Army Veteran having served in Alaska during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime member of the Methuen American Legion as well as a member of the Lawrence Lodge of Elks, B.P.O.E. #65. Thomas really enjoyed a trip he took to Ireland some 10 years ago.

a son: Joseph P. Sline and his wife Jo-Ann of Auburn, NH
a daughter: Kathleen Swisher of Sebastian, FL.
a sister: Dorothy Eldredge of Lawrence, MA.
three grandchildren: Thomas, Nicholas and Tanisha Sline all of Vermont, as well as several great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sline is also survived by a niece: Kerry Eldredge, a nephew: Christopher Eldredge, his good friends: Roger and Barbara Vachon as well as longtime caretakers: Steve Bragg and Sherry Wallace.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, also in Lawrence.
