Ila Frances Stroupe, 75, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. She was born in Lafayette county on February 18, 1933, to Albert Joseph Wrenn and Dalia Idell Davis Wrenn. She recieived her degree from Blue Mountain College and was a retired educator, serving school systems in Yalobusha and Calhoun county. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Water Valley.
Visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS on Friday, December 5, 2008 from 5 PM to 7 PM. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery on Saturday, December 6, 2008 in Lafayette County, MS with Bro. David Freeman officiating. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Stroupe of Ripley, and Al Stroupe (Lisa) of Dumas; four sisters, Gladys Blaker (Alton) of Grenada, Mary Baddley of Grant, AL., Elsie Allen (Cliff) of Batesville, AR., and Esther Nelson of Water Valley; three brothers, Frank Wrenn of Oxford, A.J. Wrenn, JR. (Lela) of Pearl River, LA., and Stanley Wrenn (Deana) of Strawberry, AR.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Hendrix and Betty Jo Wrenn; and two brothers, Arthur Wrenn and Roy Wrenn.
