Obituary

William R. Dugas 79 of Blackstone, died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Constance P. (Perreault) Dugas. Mr. Dugas was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Thomas W. and Esperelda (Dufresne) Dugas one of eleven children. He was a carpenter for forty years retiring from Cayer Construction Co. seventeen years ago. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. Mr. Dugas enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling, his favorite vacation spot was St. Marteen in the Caribbean.


Mr. Dugas is survived by a son Jeffrey Dugas and his wife Tracie of Chepachet, a daughter Joanne Paquin and her husband Michael of N. Smithfield, five grandchildren, Paul, Jennifer and Virginia Dugas and Michael Paquin Jr. and Jonathan Paquin, three sisters, Irene Hoyceanlys and Violet Poulin both of Woonsocket, and Colette Soucy of Coventry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Theresa’s Church, Rathbun St., Blackstone. Burial with military honors will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Lung Association of RI, 260 West Exchange St. Suite 102B, Providence, RI 02903-1000 in his memory would be appreciated.
