Devoted father of Delia, Maria, Irma, Lillian, Ismael, Jr., Richard, Jimmy and Daniel. Loving grandfather of eleven and great grandfather of seven family members. Mr. Mendez was a former chef at George’s Restaurant in Manhattan (across from the Empire State Building) for over 30 years. He was an avid shopper at all the $1.00 retail stores. Funeral service on Saturday 9AM from the funeral home then to St. Anastasia’s RCC - Teaneck for a Mass of Christian burial at 10AM with burial to follow at Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ.
