TEWKSBURY - Rafael DelValle, age 77, died Wednesday evening, December 3, at the Tewksbury Hospital, following a long period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Aida (Diaz) DelValle.
He was born in Puerto Rico, August 30, 1931, and moved to New York in 1965. He resettled in Lowell in 1991.
He worked as a cook in several New York City restaurants.
He is survived by two step-daughters, Dorcas Adorno of Lawrence, Deborah Perez and her husband Angel Perez of Lowell; a step-son, Luis Guzman and his wife Magaly of Florida; a sister, Ana DelValle of Manati, P.R.; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews including Vilma Dueno of P.R.
His funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 8, in the funeral home. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. Memorials to the Tewksbury Hospital, Patient Fund, 365 East St. Tewksbury, MA 01876 will be appreciated.
