Sally Jane Hutchinson, 70, of Ocilla died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Irwin County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, December 6, at the Ocilla Church Of God with Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. Eulogy will be given by her brother, Gilbert Graus. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Friday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla. Pallbearers are, Anthony, Jeffery, Curt, Stanley and Terry Hutchinson and Kenny Shephard; honorary pallbearers, Osceola Nursing Home Staff and Dr. Howard McMahan and staff.
Mrs. Hutchinson was born June 30, 1938 in Stewart, Minnesota to the late Wendell and Elizabeth Johanson Graus. She grew up in Minnesota, graduating High School in 1956 in McGregor, Minnesota. Mrs. Hutchinson moved to the Ocilla community in 1967 from St. Petersburg, FL. She was former assistant manager for Bill’s Dollar Store. Mrs. Hutchinson was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Irwin County Band Boosters. She attended the Ocilla Church Of God.
Mrs. Hutchinson is survived by her husband of 41 years, Charles E. Hutchinson of Ocilla; daughters, Elizabeth “Libby’ Yawn, Charlene Hutchinson-Jones and Candis Hutchinson all of Ocilla, JoAnn Simpson and Pat Majewski both of Houma, LA and Sandra Hutchinson of Gainesville; sons, Robert Hutchinson, Michael Hutchinson and William Hutchinson all of Fitzgerald; 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; brothers, Gilbert Graus of St. Petersburg, FL and John Graus of Sarasota, FL. As well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles E. “Edwin” Hutchinson, Jr.
