Catherine “Theresa” (McAllister) Monroe of Stoneham formerly of Somerville passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at her home. She was 79 years of age.
Born in Ireland, Theresa was the daughter of the late Mary (Naughton) McAllister and Joseph McAllister. Theresa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all.
Theresa was the beloved wife for 59 years of Frank Monroe. She was the devoted mother of Linda Monroe and her spouse Maria Arcieri of Beverly, David and his wife Roberta of Atkinson, NH, Frank and his wife Linda of Lowell. Theresa was the cherished grandmother of Sean and his wife Sarah of Bedford, NH and Erica Monroe of Nashua, NH. She was the dear sister of Marie Brown of Somerville, Patricia Campabasso of Acton and Dorothy Fitzgerald of Stoneham. She is Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Theresa’s life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
