Finnegan, Jr. Uncle of James Baroncelli.
Funeral from J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10 am. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Falmouth. Visiting Hours Thursday 3-8 pm. Donations in Robert’s memory may be made to the Ina Sue Perlmutter Laboratory, c/o Children’s Hospital 320 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115.
Obituary
Mr. Finnegan died unexpectedly Friday evening while on vacation with family in the Dominican Republic. Born in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, son of Lawrence J. and Joyce G. (Burgess) Finnegan of No. Falmouth. Graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1973 with prefect attendance for all 12 years. He would have received his associate degree from Massasoit this May. At the time of his death he was Supt. Of Buildings for the City of Brockton for past 8 years. Previously he owned the Robert W. Finnegan Plumbing & Heating co. He was extremely proud of his roll in the building of three new elementary schools and the library and city hall renovations. He enjoyed golf and was a member of Brockton Country Club. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoyed hunting, fishing and scuba diving. Communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
He is survived by his parents Lawrence J. and Joyce G. (Burgess) Finnegan of No. Falmouth, a brother John F. “Jack” Finnegan and his wife Kerrie of No. Reading and Pocasset, a sister Elizabeth J. “Liz” Baroncelli and her husband Albert of Middleboro, a nephew James Baroncelli and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
