Obituary

Salem, New Hampshire – Joseph R. Boie, 86 died Monday December 1, 2008 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

Mr. Boie was born in Methuen, son of Nicholas and Zeniade (Lajoie) Boie. He received his education in the Methuen School system. For many years, Mr. Boie was a technician with Western Electric in North Andover. He was a member of the Pioneers of America. During World War II, Joseph served his country in the United States Army, prior to being honorably discharged at war’s end. He formerly belonged to the Methuen Council #4027 Knights of Columbus.

Joseph’s hobbies include repairing clocks and woodworking. He loved bowling, but more importantly, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family.

A longtime Lawrence resident and a resident of Salem, NH for the past nine years, he is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-two years, Ida M. (Toto) Boie. He is also survived by two daughters, Doreen J. and her husband Martin A. Dallon of Salem, NH and Denise B. and her husband Marino Suarez of Methuen, four grandchildren, Jeremy Dallon, Melissa Dallon-Sbrega, Lauren Carratu and Kevin Suarez., four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place on Friday morning at 10 o’clock at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA with burial to follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
