HUDSON, NH - Robert J. "Bobby" Hedrick, 52, of Hudson, died unexpectedly Saturday evening in his home. He was the beloved husband for 26 years of Linda M. (Fitzgerald) Hedrick of Hudson, NH.
Born in Lowell on November 24, 1956, he was the son of Wanda (Dziura) Hedrick of Dracut and the late Robert E. Hedrick. He received his education in the Dracut school system and was a graduate of Dracut High School class of 1974.
Mr. Hedrick had been employed as a material handler by the Raytheon Corporation for the past 31 years.
Known for his talent playing the trumpet throughout Southern, NH and the Merrimack Valley he was a former member of the Polish American Concert Band in Lowell, a former member of the Swinging Brass Band, a former member of the Eastern Sound Band, a former member of the Sounds Abouts Band as well as having his own band the Chicago Connection. He also devoted his time as the Sound Man for Rosita Lee Dance and Music Studio in Hudson, NH as well as for playing Taps at Military Funerals.
He was an active communicant of St. Casimir's Church in Lowell where he served as Co-Chairman for the church.
Additionally, he was a member of the Hudson, NH Lions Club, a member of the Dom Polski Club in Lowell and a past president of the Friends of Music at Alvirne High School in Hudson, NH.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters Lindsey E. and Caitlin M. Hedrick both of Hudson, NH; his sister Shirley Garvey of Dracut; and many nieces and nephews. He also devoted himself as a foster parent through the Lowell DYS.
Friends may call at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. His Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Thursday at 9 AM followed by his Funeral Mass celebrated at 10 AM in St. Casimir's Church, Lowell. Interment in St. Casimir's Cemetery Pelham, NH.
