Born Jan 7, 1931 to J P and Rhoda Bishop in Tulsa, OK and passed away Nov 30, 2008 in Swampscott, MA. Preceded in death by the love of her life Thomas A Lane, her parents, 5 siblings, and granddaughter Nicole Lane. She will be deeply missed by her 4 children Thomas G Lane and his wife Socorra, Pamela Milton and her husband Ron, Nancy Doty and her husband Dave, Clifford Lane and his wife Iris, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and sister-in-laws Rose Ciarcia and Carolyn Bishop.
She was raised in Oakland, CA and graduated from Berkeley High. As a young girl she was a dancer and champion roller skater. In 1949 she joined the "Skating Vanities." While on tour in Europe she met her husband of 50 years. They married in Berkeley CA in 1950 and left the show in 1951 to become skating coaches in the Bay Area. They moved to Sacramento in 1954 and purchased the Senator Roller Drome where they created one of the largest competitive roller skating clubs in California, producing many state and national champions including all of their children. They also owned the Vallejo Skating Rink, Rainbow Roller Rink and Roller City both of Sacramento. Dotti was also an avid golfer and belonged to Northridge Country Club and Sunrise Golf Club. She was also an excellent cook. A Sacramento area resident for 50 years, she moved to Winthrop, MA in 2004 to be with her daughter Pamela.
Two Memorial’s were held to celebrate her life: one, January 19, 2009 at the Sunrise Golf Course Club House Bar & Grill in Sacramento, CA. The second was January 31, 2009 at the Winthrop Lodge of Elks in Winthrop, MA
