Mrs. Alene Clements Walters, age 81, died Sunday, November 30, 2008 in the Bethany Nursing Center in Vidalia after an extended illness.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in the Ocilla Cemetery with Rev. Don Moye officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7 Monday evening at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home in Vidalia.
Mrs. Clements was born February 1, 1927 in Roanoke, Alabama to the late Louie B. and Myrtle Morton. She lived most of her life in Tifton and Fitzgerald, having moved to Vidalia 18 years ago. She was retired from Fitzgerald Underwear. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia and the Winsome Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Walters is survived by three sons: Charles & Nancy Clements of Vidalia, David & Debbie Clements of Eastman, and Louie Clements of Evans; one step-son: Victor & Elaine Walters of Douglas; one step-daughter: Gail & Tom Hansend of Moultrie; three brothers: Joe Morton of Lakeland, FL, Jacob Morton of Nashville, and Tommy Morton of Lake City, FL; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ard V. Walters.
