NORTH DIGHTON – Antone Perry, husband of Virginia (Nunes) Perry, died on Sunday, Nov. 30th at his home at the age of 72.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Manuel and Mary (Lima) Perry.
Educated in area schools, he attended the former Taunton Vocational High School, later serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He retired from the Mass. Dept. of Corrections, after serving 25 years at MCI Walpole as a corrections officer, later working as a driver for American Auto.
A communicant of St. Nicholas the Apostle Church and avid Red Sox fan, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Besides his wife of N. Dighton, he leaves 2 sons, Nicholas Perry of ME and Christopher Perry and his wife Theresa of TX; 2 daughters, Gloria J. Buettner of Franklin and Gina Perry of N. Dighton; 2 sisters, Anna Perry of Worcester and Margaret Correia and her husband Joseph of Taunton; 4 granddchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Manuel Perry, Mary Welch and Gloria Costa.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Friday, Dec. 5th at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted.
