Mrs. Luigina M. Rania, age 78 of Medford died Saturday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Medford. She was the wife of the late Anthony Rania.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Vito and the late Orlandina (Lippi) Crugnola. She is a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Roxbury, class of 1948. Following high school she spent 2 years in college studying business administration. She worked as a Secretary. A communicant of St. Clement Church, she was also a member of Catholic Charities. Mrs. Rania was an avid bingo player and a big fan of Frank Sinatra music. She is survived by three daughters: Carla Rania and her husband Gary Stagliola of Medford, Rosina Lis and her husband Timothy of Westboro, Paula Glavin and her husband Edward of Tewksbury. Loving grandmother of Matthew & Christian Stagliola; Michael, Katie, Dan & Sam Lis; Rihana, Gina & Joseph Glavin. Dear sister of Aldo Crugnola of Dracut, Angelo Crugnola and his wife Nina of Needham. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 9AM, followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford,at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 thru 8pm. Interment at a later date.
