Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Shirley S. (Hooper) Pelletier, 85, of 29 Elm Street died unexpectedly at her home Sunday morning, November 30, 2008. She was the wife of the late Carlton A. Pelletier, who died in 1971.
Born in Rockport on September 29, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Graham and Grace (Sanders) Hooper. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and had attended Gloucester public schools.
Mrs. Pelletier devoted her life to taking care of her family. Spending time with her great-grandchildren brought her much joy and happiness. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Doreen and Michael Spinola of Gloucester, two granddaughters, Karen, wife of Paul Waystack of Topsfield and Carla, wife of Kevin Quigg of Wilton, CT, six great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kaitlyn Waystack of Topsfield, Riley, Marnie, Macklin and Guinevere “Winnie” Quigg all of Wilton, CT. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Olson and a nephew, Wain Olson both of Gloucester.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held privately in the Beech Grove Cemetery, Rockport.
