Mary F. (Viscardi) Caledonia, 96 years of Brockton died Friday November 28, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Albert Caledonia. She was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of the late Anthony and Marie (Ruggerio) Viscardi. Mrs. Caledonia had been a resident of Brockton for most of her life and attended Brockton schools. She had been employed as a stitcher for Shawmut Manufacturing in Stoughton for over 15 years and retired from Foot Joy in the early 70s after working there for many years. She enjoyed going for road trips and gardening. She was a longtime communicant of St. Margaret’s Church before attending Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Joan (Blunt) Caledonia, her grandchildren, Geryl McAndrews, John “Jay” Caledonia, Lynn Stulpin, Joan Caledonia, David Caledonia and Diane Cherkaoui, eight great-grandchildren and a great great-granddaughter. She was the mother of the late Domenic A. Caledonia and sister of the late Peter and Louis Viscardi and Josephine “Marie” Corbo.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Visiting hours are omitted. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
