Robert L. Peterson, 81 of Norwood and formerly of East Walpole died November 27 in the Victoria Haven Nursing Facility in Norwood. He was the husband of Pauline (Capaldo) Peterson for the past 57 years.
Born in Norwood, January 12, 1927, the son of the late Oscar and Mildred (Carins) Peterson, Mr. Peterson was raised in Norwood and had lived in East Walpole for 49 years before returning to Norwood 8 years ago.
Mr. Peterson had worked for the General Motors Corporation and a driver at its Framingham plant for 43 years before retiring.
He enjoyed cars and antiquing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by several cousins.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 2 in St. Catherine’s Church in Norwood at 9:00 a.m.
Private burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in South Walpole.
Visiting hours are omitted.
