Arthur E. Wright, Sr., 81, of Derry, NH, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. Mr. Wright was born in Sayville, NY on September 24, 1927, a son of the late Earl L. and Phoebe E. (Gebbie) Wright, and was a resident of Derry for many years. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion Lester Chase Post #9 and the VFW Post #1617 both in Derry. Mr. Wright enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and the NE Patriots.
He is survived by four children, two sisters, and his stepmother.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
