Obituary

Evans, GA - Ms. Nadine Moore (Memaw), 78, daughter of the late Delmar and Grace Burnette, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 24, 2008.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at West Acres Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Larry Harmon and Reverend David Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Nadine was born in Cleveland, TN. She moved to Georgia in 1952 where she attended the University Hospital Nursing Assistant Program. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital after 30 years of service. Nadine was a loyal and active member of West Acres Baptist Church working as a Sunday school teacher, a nursery volunteer, a financial coordinator, and other roles at the church for over 25 years. Many may also remember her as the Martinez Teen Town director in the 60’s

Survivors include, three daughters, Ann Cushman and her husband Jimmy of Evans, Susan Agner and her husband Mickey of Martinez, and Judy Box and her husband Mike of Martinez, two brothers, Jimmy Burnette of Martinez, and Charles Burnette of Winfield, three sisters, Roberta Wilson of Lincolnton, Joyce Kelley of Martinez, and Wanda Partridge also of Martinez, eight grandchildren, Edward Cushman, Scott Cushman, Becky Agner, Alan Cushman, David Williams, Carol Revelle, Billy Williams, and Daniel Williams and eighteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday November 28, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd.
