Lewis M. “Mayon” Paul, 65, of Ocilla, Georgia died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Friday, November 28 at Frank Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Ed McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Paul was born March 31, 1943 in Irwin County to the late Lewis and Elizabeth Weaver Paul. He lived in the community most of his life and attended Irwin County High School. Mr. Paul was a farmer and former employee of Coachmen Industries. He served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. Mr. Paul attended Frank Primitive Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman.
Mr. Paul is survived by his wife, Elaine Paul of Ocilla; son and his fiancée, Jason L. Paul & Marissa English of Ocilla; granddaughter, Isabelle; brother & sister-in-law, Gene & Joyce Paul of Ocilla; sister & brother-in-law, Kay & Jimmy Clark of Fitzgerald as well as several nieces and nephews.
