Kathleen H. Pothier, 46, passed away at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford on November 23rd, 2008. She was born in Winchester on February 28th, 1962 to her parents John J. and Mary E. (Sheedy) Harty. Kathleen has been a long time resident of Medford. For several years, she worked as a Teachers Aid at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish School in Medford. She was also the Drama Club Teacher in the after school program at St. Francis. In her early years of employment, Kathleen worked for the City of Somerville Elder Services Department. She is survived by her husband, David Pothier of Medford ; her children, Terrence, Julia and David Pothier Jr., all of Medford; by her mother Mary E. (Sheedy) Pynne and her husband Richard of Clearwater, Florida; by her siblings, Maureen Vacca and her husband James of North Reading, Jeanne Marsinelli and her husband Daniel of Wakefield, Susan Bruno and her husband James of Medford, Nicholas Harty and his wife Jean of North Reading, William Harty of Wilmington, Cheryl Fay and her husband Joseph of Tewksbury and Elizabeth Mackey and her husband Marc of Dracut and by her in laws Gerard and Elizabeth (Carew) Pothier of Hillsboro, New Hampshire. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Kathleen was predeceased by her father, John J. Harty and by her sister Theresa Harty. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden at Medford line on Wednesday November 26th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Medford at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.
