Haverhill, MA – Gladys L. (King) Petty, 66, died Wednesday at Caritas Holy Family Hospital.
Gladys was born January 18, 1942 the daughter of Everett H. and Barbara (Alexander) King.
For more than 15 years she was employed by Phillips Academy as a Kitchen Aide. Gladys loved bingo, and because she was visually impaired the T.V. was her best friend, although her family was paramount to her.
She is survived by her husband Richard K. Petty, and children; Barbara Hendricks of Lawrence, Kenneth Berard, Lisa and her husband Paul Cordeau of Newton, NH, David Berard, Michelle and husband Tony DeLuca of Derry, NH, Michael and wife Cheryl Berard of Methuen, Frederick Berard, Eric and wife Tonya Berard, Andrea Berard of Haverhill, and Kerry Traxler also of Haverhill, brothers and a sister, David and wife Delphina King, Everett “Butch” and wife Kathy King of Lowell, MA, William and wife Janice King, Joseph and wife Bonnie King, Judith her only sister and husband Roshier Deskins, 32 grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service’s will take place on Sunday evening at 6:30 P.M. from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2 P.M.-6:15 P.M. at the funeral home.
