Viola Phillips, 85, Jenkins, KY, died Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at her daughter's residence in Clarksville. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. eastern time Sunday at Green Acres Cemetery, Whitesburg, KY. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born September 5, 1923 in Mayking, KY daughter of the late William Manon Webb and Nancy Jane Gipson Webb. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty six years, George F. Phillips, and a son, Darrell Glenn Phillips. She is survived by daughters, Brenda Gilley, Clarksville; and Carol Phillips, Chattanooga, TN; a sister, Rosa Wagner, Whitesburg, KY; four grandchildren, Kristi Gilley, Nedra Gilley, Scott Davis, and Brandon Konstantinovich; four great-grandchidren, Kristen Davis, Jason Davis, Rachel Davis, and Kayla Smith; and one great-great-grandson, Travys Smith.
