Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Josephine H. (Williams) Wright, 78, of 12 Mystic Avenue, died Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at her home following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Daniel W. Wright who died in August 2005.
Born in Bath, Maine on December 16, 1929 she was the daughter of the late William and Alva (Rogerson) Williams. She was educated in Bath, Maine and had resided in Gloucester for over sixty years.
Josephine was employed as a supervisor of the winch department at Rule Industries in Gloucester for many years prior to her retirement. She was also an active member of the First Baptist Church of Gloucester, where she had served on many committees She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Daniel and his wife, Debra Wright of California, Brian and his wife, Dinnelle Wright of Oregon, Madith and her husband, Jon Curley of Gloucester and Peter Wright and his companion, Karen Poole of Gloucester, six grandchildren, Jonathan Kelly and his wife, Cindy of Gloucester, Matthew Wright of OR, Danielle Canning and her husband, David of NH, Damien Wright and his wife, Bay of CA, Stephanie Wright and Christy Wright both of OR, a great-grandson, Dominic Wright of CA, two sisters, Beatrice Beliveau of NH and Janice Lee of Maine, four brothers, Talbot Williams and his wife, Pauline, Alan Williams and his wife, Dorothy, Lawrence Douglas and his wife, Nancy and Carl Douglas and his wife, Mildred all of Maine and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral services will be held on Monday in the First Baptist Church of Gloucester at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 1 – 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the First Baptist Church, 38 Gloucester Ave., Gloucester, MA 01930 or to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923. Interment will be held in the Beechbrook Cemetery, W. Gloucester.
