Pamela A. McGann, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died suddenly on Tuesday November 18, 2008 at her home in Charlestown. She was 58 years old.
Pamela was born in Whitefield, New Hampshire on July 25, 1950. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from St. Rose High School in Chelsea in 1968. Pamela began working for Verizon Telephone Company and served as a purchaser at thier offices in Boston, Lynn and Middleton. She retired from Verizon in 2004 after 33 years of service.
Pamela is the beloved daughter of the late Paul R. and Norma (Delany) McGann. She is the devoted sister of Deborah Lent and her husband Tom of Charlestown, Thomas McGann and his wife Regina of Revere, Robert McGann and his wife Nancy of West Roxbury and Geoffrey McGann and his wife Laura of Wakefield. She is the loving aunt of Kerri Surette, Jonathan Lent, Christopher Lent, Nathan McGann, Patrick, Ryan and Geoffrey McGann Jr. and grand-aunt of Mikaela Surette.
Pamela's Funeral will be held on Saturday November 22, 2008 at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be on Friday November 21, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
