DUDLEY: Virginia L. (Gibbs) Wysocki Lichatz, 75, of Dudley, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, after an illness. Her husband, Fredric J. Lichatz, died in 1983.
She leaves 3 daughters, Janice L. McGuirk and her husband James of Worcester, Robin A. Laferriere and Donna C. Christian and her husband Mark, all of Dudley; a brother, Martin L. Nieski of Woodstock, CT; 9 grandchildren; a special nephew, Jay Lowell and his wife Nancy and their 2 children. She was preceded in death by her brother Paul Nieszcewski and her sister Helen Lowell.
She was born in Springfield and lived in Dudley most of her life. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1951.
Mrs. Lichatz was a postal clerk at the Nichols College Post Office and was still working until recently. Previously, she owned and operated E-Z Auto Driving School from 1975 to 1990.
She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Dudley. She was a member and current president of the Ladies Benevolent Society at the church. She was a member of the Dudley Grange #163 where she served as lecturer for many years. She also enjoyed being an usher at the church.
She looked forward to her frequent trips to Nantucket.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 22, in the First Congregational Church, 135 Center Road. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster.
