Donna M. Smith, 50 of Derry, NH, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in Parkland Medical Center, Derry following a brief illness. Mrs. Smith was born in Everett, MA on August 24, 1958, a daughter of the late Roger L. and Claire J. (Hill) Perry. She was a resident of Derry for the past 20 years, formerly living in Lynnfield, MA. Mrs. Smith graduated from Lynnfield High School, Class of 1976. She worked for 30 years for M/A-Com in Lowell, MA. She loved the Patriots, camping, boating and fishing as well as spending time with her family. Mrs. Smith also loved animals, especially her pets and enjoyed her flower garden.
She is survived by her husband of 9 years, Paul Smith of Derry, a son, James C. Breslin of Nashua, NH, two stepsons, Daniel Smith of Salisbury, MA, Matthew Smith of Hampton Beach, NH, four grandchildren, Brianna Smith, Joseph Smith, Tricia Smith, Allie Carpenter, a brother, Donald Perry and his wife Coleen of Atkinson, NH and is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, David Perry.
Visiting hours were held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 4-7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service was held on Friday at 10:00am in the funeral home with cremation following.
