Josephine M. (Chimber) Roach , a lifelong resident of Bridgewater, died at Brockton Hospital on Nov. 17 after a brief illness. She was 91. Josephine was the wife of the late Richard T. Roach. She was a graduate of Bridgewater Academy Class of 1936. After being a homemaker for many years, she worked for Bridgewater Cooperative Bank she later retired from. Josephine was a former member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Women’s Club and the Bridgewater Osamequin Club. Josephine was the beloved daughter of Anthony and Beatrice Chimber. She is survived by her children Richard T. Roach Jr., of Bridgewater, Marianne Roach of Hopedale, and Thomas A. Roach of Wareham. She was the proud grandmother of Jason Roach of Torrance, and Timothy and Christopher Roach of Wareham. Sister of Blanche Malkoski of Buzzards Bay and the late Mary J. Powell. Also survived by a great grand daughter Leah Roach of Torrance, CA and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Wed. Nov. 19 from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rt. 18), Bridgewater at 9:00 am. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 10:00am. Visitation prior to mass at the funeral home from 8:30 to 9:30am.
