DRACUT - Cecile A. (Prud'homme) Cote, 94, a longtime resident of Dracut, died Monday November 17th at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of Philip J. Cote to whom she was married for 67 years.
She was born in Lowell on August 4, 1914, and she was a daughter of the late Damase and Donalda (Brouillette) Prud'homme. She received her education in Lowell schools.
Mrs. Cote spent her life tending to the needs of her home and family.
She was also a very talented seamstress and had worked for several area companies.
In her free time she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and traveling around the world with her husband.
She was a communicant of St. Therese Church in Dracut.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons Carl J. Cote and his wife Dolores "Dolly" of Dracut, and Thomas J. Cote and his wife Elena of Los Alamos, NM; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Philip Cote Jr., and the sister of the late Br. Victor Prud'homme, Raymond Prud'homme, Leo Prud'homme, Victoria Charon, Claire Gilbeau, Rita Furland, and Sr. Marie Prud'homme.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Wednesday from 3 until 7 PM. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. Those who wish may make donations in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
