LOWELL - Dorothy M. (Carstensen) Carlson, 76, died Wednesday evening, April 23, at theFairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of William A.Carlson, with whom she had celebrated a 33rd wedding anniversary this past Christmas Eve.
She was born in Boston, May 21, 1926, the daughter of the late Carl K. and Davina (Dickson)Carstensen. She was raised in Dedham, and lived in Tewksbury most of her adult life. Shemoved to Lowell in 1981.
In her earlier years, she was a member of the “Kelly Girls” temporary clerical workers.
She was a lifetime member of the Tewksbury Congregational Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Ronald Watsonof Port Charlotte, FL, two grandchildren, Tracy Watson of Haverhill and Ronald Watson ofLowell, and one brother, Ralph Carstensen of CA.
Her funeral was held Monday, April 28, in the funeral home. Interment was in Lowell Cemetery.
