Alan N. Sundquist, 67, of New Bedford died November 12, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Springfield, MA, the son of the late Neil and Mary (Bieda) Sundquist, he lived on Cape Cod most of his life.
He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis.
Mr. Sundquist was formerly employed as a general contractor for several years and was a former firefighter and E.M.T. in Mattapoisett. While living in Springfield many years ago, he was employed by Fountain Plating.
He enjoyed photography.
Survivors include his daughter, Bethany E. Payton and her husband Kenneth W. of Mattapoisett; a sister, Carolyn Ruggles of Maine; numerous nieces and nephews.
His Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 18th at 7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett. His family will receive guests on Tuesday from 5-7 PM prior to his service.
