Joseph A. Riley, Jr., 55, of Taunton died at home on Friday November 7, 2008 following a period of failing health.
Born in Cheverly, MD on October 28, 1953 he was a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Murray) Riley, Sr.
He grew up in Dedham and was a graduate of Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood. Mr. Riley was employed as a carpenter and general contractor. He was the former co-owner of JGR Enterprises, Inc. in Norton prior to retiring in 2003.
Joe had a passion for motorcycles and especially enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He had made his home in Taunton since 1997 and had also formerly resided in Attleboro.
He is survived by his devoted sons Sean M. Riley of North Adams and Fist Lieutenant Joseph P. Riley of Attleboro, a member of the United States Army and is currently deployed in Iraq. The loving longtime companion of Sandy Brown of Taunton he was the brother of Lisa M. Vuckovic of Boston, Elizabeth A. Riley of Boston, Ann L. Bach of Texas and was the former husband of Suzette Brousseau of Attleboro.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a celebration of Joe’s life on Monday November 24th from 7:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
