WORCESTER___Alfred R. “Butch” Germain, 66, of Worcester, died Wednesday November 12, 2008 in Radius Health Care Center, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 29 years, Patricia A. (Hawthorne) Germain, his children, John A. Germain of Spencer; Debrorah A. Lamothe of Sturbridge; Scot P. Hawthorne of Powell, OH., Michael A. Hawthorne of New Bern, N.C., Robyn H. Judge of Rutland and Erica M. Germain of North Smithfield, R.I., thirteen grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, three brothers, Raymond Young of Spencer and Raynel Young and Herbert Young both of Worcester; two sisters, Margaret Alvarado and Carol Manoli both of Worcester; and many nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, a son of Roy C. Germain and Margaret (Trudell) Germain Young and lived here for most of his life.
Mr. Germain worked many years as a production laborer and was also a forklift operator. He retired from Lundquist Tool Co. He loved to walk and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Calling hours are Sunday November 16, 2008 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street. The funeral service take place on Sunday during the calling hours.
