WORCESTER-Nicholas S. Dodos, 84, of 240 Belmont Street died Sunday December 30th in the Hospice Residence at Coes Pond. His wife Evelyn (Mattis) Dodos died in 1984. He leaves 2 sons Spero N. Dodos of Hopkinton and Nicholas M. Dodos of Orange, CA, a daughter Patricia Dodos of Dorchester, a sister in Greece, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grand daughters.
He was born in Worcester the son of Spiro and Victoria (Pallas) Dodos and had lived in Worcester most of his life. Mr. Dodos was a World War 2 Army Air Corps veteran. He owned and operated several area restaurants including the Edgemere Diner and the Gold Star Café. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and at one time had served as it’s Parish Council President. Mr. Dodos was a member of the Order of A.H.E.P.A.
The funeral will be Thursday January 3rd from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 11:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Catherdral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Fitchburg. Calling hours are Wednesday January 2nd from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
