Edgar J. Ricard 74, of Seamans St. died Tuesday in Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Rita (Theroux) Ricard. Mr. and Mrs. Ricard celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on January 29th of this year. He was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Edgar and Marian (Hamelin) Ricard. He worked in the shipping department of Finklestein’s in Woonsocket for many years and was an automobile salesperson and car painter for Tomassini Auto Sales retiring in 1989.
Mr. Ricard loved the ocean, deep sea fishing and was an avid sun seeker.
Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Lorraine Alfred of Nashua, NH, Aline Orlando of Woonsocket, and Diane Bessette of Burrilliville, a sister Pauline Leclair of IL, six grandchildren, Katie, Danny, Christina, Lisa, Lynn, and Lori, and a great granddaughter Kylie.
His funeral will be held Monday a 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday morning from 9-10 AM.
