Phyllis A. (Boviard) Rae, age 73, died unexpectedly, Sunday, November 9, 2008 at home in Woburn. Born in Woburn, Phyllis was the beloved daughter of the late Helen (Dunnigan) Boviard & George Boviard.
Phyllis had been a lifelong Woburn resident. She graduated from Woburn High School. Class of 1953. She then started her family and raised them here in Woburn. Phyllis was an antique enthusiast. She owned and operated different antique stores here in Woburn over the years. She loved fine collectibles. In 1977 Phyllis graduated from Tufts University Certificate Program. This enabled her to continue her career as a Librarian Technician with the Town of Burlington. She retired in 1990 after 14 years of working for the town.
In retirement, Phyllis and her late companion, Dennis Lussier often traveled together to area flea markets. Her favorite was one in Hubbardston, MA. They also made a few trips to Florida, and loved watching the Red Sox on TV, but most of all they enjoyed spending time together.
In addition to her late companion Dennis, Phyllis is survived by her children, Michael Rae and his wife Sharon of Woburn, Joanne Moore of Lowell, Gordon Rae and his wife Pamela, Alicia Litchfield and her husband Kurt all of Florida, Leonard Rae and his wife Denise of California, Ernest Rae and his wife Laura of Vermont, Cheryl Costa and her husband Rob of New Hampshire and the late Danny Rae. Also survived by 15 loving grandchildren, 2 loving great grandchildren and her late grandson Paul Sorenson Jr. Sister of George Boviard of Tewksbury, Joan Morabito of New Hampshire, James Boviard of Newburyport and the late Tom Boviard, Mary Logue, and Leo Tourigney.
Funeral from the McLaughlin Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St. Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
