Dave A. Murphy, 58 of Reidsville died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah.
Graveside services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, November 14 at Irwinville Cemetery with Rev. William Pope officiating. Visitation will be held 7-9 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Murphy was born March 2, 1950 in Brunswick, Georgia and was the son of the late Dave Wesley Murphy and the late Geneva Brown Nolan. He lived in Reidsville for the past several years and was a former resident of Thomasville and Irwinville. Mr. Murphy was a former employee of the United States Postal Service and served in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah & Randy Latham of Ambrose; aunt & uncle, Sue & Doug Foster of Fitzgerald; niece, Tammy Busbin; nephews, Michael & Henry Busbin and a great niece, Mackenzie Busbin. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Roscoe Nolan and a brother, Arthur Murphy.
