Bobby B. `Shag` Harris, 80, Clarksville, died Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. B.J. Brack and Rev. Len Scott officiating. Burial will be in Louise Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born January 19, 1928 in Montgomery County son of Robert Edward Harris and Annie Carneal Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nellie Virginia Harris, three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Harris was a member of Louise United Methodist Church and also attended New Providence United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Frosty Morn as a shipping clerk and alson was a self-employed painter. He is survived by five sons, Robert I. Harris, Cunningham, TN; Larry E. Harris, Donald R. Harris, Charles B. Harris, and Barry E. Harris all of Clarksville, nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildrenn. Pallbearers will be Robert I. Harris, Donald R. Harris, Charles B. Harris, Barry E. Harris, Larry E. Harris, Bryan Harris, and Nita R. Heilman. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Gateway Hospice, 1606 Haynes Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
