Alisha Anne Durfee, born September 12, 1982, went up to be with her father for the rest of our lives on Sunday in her home from C.F. and diabetes.
She is survived by her mother, Lucinda Burdick; her brother Beriah Durfee; sister Constance Durfee; her half-brothers, George Durfee Sr. of AL, Thomas and Martin Durfee of AZ; half-sister, Laura Good of OK; her grandmother Jay Burdick; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins. nieces and nephews.
After her graduation from Stonington High School in 2001, she worked as a gate attendant at Mystic Seaport. She later worked in retail and most recently enjoyed her position in the Entertainment Dept. of Mohegan Sun.
Alisha will be remembered as an active person who loved the outdoors and visiting various parks and historic sites. She also enjoyed music, karaoke, and attending shows. She assisted others coping with Cystic Fibrosis, CF related diabetes, and raising awareness of Cystic Fibrosis.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Friday from 12;30-1;45pm, followed by a Graveside Funeral Service at 2pm at Elm Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Doretta M. Colburn will officiate.
