Jean M. Stirling, died on April 18, 2003 at the Kimberly Hall Nursing Home in Windsor, Connecticut. She was 88 years old.Jean was born on November 23, 1914 in Scotland, a daughter of the late Archibald and Margaret (Gray) Stirling. She moved to Medford in 1922 and graduated Medford High School with the Class of 1933. Jean was a communicant of the West Medford Baptist Church. She was an active member of the church and was also a nursery Sunday school teacher as well as a choir member and was the church clerk for some time.She was employed as a supervisor for American Mutual for over 31 years. Jean was active in Daughters of Scotia, and she was also President of the St. Japonica Bible Class.Devoted sister of Archibald Stirling, Jr. of Simsbury, CT, Robert Stirling of Windsor, CT, formerly of Medford and Janet Lyman of Brunswick, ME. Dear aunt of Linda Withee of Clarksville, TN, William Stirling of Centerville, Laura Stirling of Somers, CT, Carolyn Thorkildsen of Lyndeboro, NH and Paul Stirling of Avon, CT. She is also survived by 2 great-nieces and 3 great-nephews and 2 great-great nieces and 2 great-greatnephews.Her funeral service will be held in the West Medford Baptist Church, 59 Boston Avenue, Medford, Friday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
