George Kenneth Bearden, 81, Clarksville, died Sun., Nov. 9 2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 12:30 P.M. Tuesday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Dr. Felts Dent and Dr.Roger Freeman and Rev. Skip Armistead officiating. Burial will be in Harvey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born April 16, 1927, in Detriot, MI. son of George Nolan Bearden and Lessie Davis. was preceded in death by this parents, and two sisters Mildred Brown and Dorothy Cromer. He was a self employed plumber. He was a World War II veteran. He was a member of First Baptist Church and life time member of the Montgomery County Conservation Club. He is survied by his wife Mable Modene Baggett Bearden of Clarksville, one son Gavin(Shelly) Bearden of Clarksville, Carla(Clint) B. Averitt of Clarksville, one brother Herschel Bearden of Clarksville and three grandchildren Jared Averitt, Kholie Averitt and Haley Bearden. Pallbearers will be Jared Averitt, Herb Baggett, Johnny Baggett, Randy Allbert, Wayne Abrams and Keith Thompson.Honorary pallbearers will be Herschel Bearden, Cecil Baggett, Gene Baggett, Boots Lamar, Lowell Thompson, Clarence Wall and Landon Baggett.
