Louis H. Lange, Sr., 88, of New Bedford, died December 30, 2001 at Mediplex Rehabilitation Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Agnes L. (Tatro) Lange,and son of the late Henry and Mary Ann (Posthumus) Lange.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, he lived in Los Gatos, California for 38 years, before moving to New Bedford 15 months ago.
He was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
Mr. Lange was formerly employed as a utility maintenance worker for Ford Motor Company in Michigan and FMC Corporation in California until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife; a granddaughter, Naja Strangis of New Bedford; and a sister, Carmella Horré of Paradise, California.
He was the father of the late Louis H. Lange, Jr. and Michael Lange, and brother of the late Clarence Lange.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass on Saturday January 5, 2002 at 9 AM in St. Julie Billiart Church, North Dartmouth.
