Louise C. (Currier) Wright, 83, of Chester, NH died Friday November 7, 2008 following a brief illness. She was born on October 20, 1925, wife of the late Sam R. Wright, Jr. who died in 1995. She was predeceased by one grandson, Sam Wright who died in 2005.
Louise was a homemaker and mother of eight. She was a former resident of Methuen, MA until 1986 when she moved to Chester with her husband and family. She loved family gatherings, crafting, and had flower gardens. She also enjoyed her yearly winter trips to Florida. Not only did she raise her own children, but she helped to raise her grandchildren. She was very involved with each and enjoyed spending time with all of them. Her love of children expanded beyond her immediate family and included everyone she touched.
She is survived by her twin sister, Louella Newton of Topsfield, MA: three sons, Charles Wright of Chester, NH, Thomas Wright of Raymond, NH, James Wright of Auburn, NH and five daughters, Catherine Young and Theresa Travers of Chester, Ann Brasher of Warner, NH, Susan McAndrews of Sandown, NH, and Dorothy Tanguay of Auburn, NH, 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Calling hours were held on Monday November 10, 2008 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry from 4 – 7:30pm with a funeral service that followed at 7:30pm in the funeral home. Words of remembrance were shared on Tuesday at 10:30am in the funeral home. Burial was in Great Hill Cemetery, Chester.
