Margaret “Peggy” (Condon) Claus, of Needham, died on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. She was 87 years old. Born in Boston, Peggy was the daughter of the late James J. and Mary (Healy) Condon. She was a graduate of Emmanuel College Class of 1943. Mrs. Claus was a member of Charles River Country Club where she enjoyed playing tennis and golf. Peggy and her late husband were avid Boston College Football fans. The beloved wife of the late Ambrose J. Claus she the loving mother of Patricia M. Keating and her husband John of Framingham, A. Michael Claus and his partner Cynthia Proulx of Taunton, Mary Beth Claus Tobin and her husband Mark of Mashpee and Natick and Robert J. Claus and his wife Marjorie of Needham. Dear grandmother of Kristin Keating, Michelle Keating , Kara Keating Bench, Caitlin Claus, Danielle Claus, Jaclyn Claus, Melissa Jones, Joseph Beaudet, Stephanie Beaudet, James Tobin, Timothy Claus, Brian Claus, Daniel Claus, and Margaret Claus. Great grandmother of Jack, Jaida and Annie. Sister of the late Elizabeth, William, Joseph and James Condon. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. Needham on Monday November 10th at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church Needham at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 PM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
