Ernest F. Mello, a 53 year resident of Stoughton, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at the Brockton Hospital. He was 73 years old. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Dorothy B. (Audlee). Born May 8, 1935, in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Anthony and Margaret (Belvedere) Mello. He attended Bridgewater Public Schools, and was a graduate of Bridgewater High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a member of the Canton Fish and Game Association. Mr. Mello was employed as a custodian with the Stoughton Public School System for many years. Along with his wife, he is survived by children, Ernest F. "Tony" Mello Jr. of N.C., Wendy M. Bellows of Middleboro, Bruce E. Mello of Middleboro, Mathew G. Mello of Florida, Steven R. Mello of Stoughton and Amy S. Panciocco also of Middleboro. A celebration of Ernie's life will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 6-8 p.m., in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk St., Stoughton. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of ones choice in Ernie's memory, would be appreciated.
