Irene Y. (Jacques) Hanks 60, of Glaude LN died Wednesday, November 5, in Roger Williams Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her longtime companion Scott Lavallee. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Odilion and Donalda ( Durand) Jacques. She was a winder for the former Florence Dye works until its closing and was also a healthcare worker for Landmark Medical Center for several years, retiring in August of last year due to illness.
Irene is survived by a son Stephen Hanks and his wife Claudine of Slatersville, RI, a daughter Cheryl Hernandes and her husband Bensalado of Arizona City, AZ, and three granddaughters; Emma, Lily, and Macie.
Arrangements are private and under the direction of Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home.
