Mittie Lucille Harbin Langham, 78, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at Tift Health Care. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2005, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Ms. Langham was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cememtery.
Ms. Langham's grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers.
Born August 16, 1926, in Turner County, Ms. Langham was the daughter of the late Shemon Layfette Harbin and Mary Jane Elizabeth Lang Harbin. She was also preceded in death by one son, Randy Lassiter; one brother, Jake Harbin; and one grandchild. Before retiring, she was a child-care provider; and she was of the Baptist faith. She had lived in Tifton for ten years.
Mrs. Langham is survived by three sons, Edward Lassiter of Adairsville, Bobby Lassiter of Woodstock and Jack Lassiter; one step-son, J.L. Lassiter, Jr. of Leesburg; two daughters, Glenda Weldon of Tifton and Shirley Crumley of Bainbridge; two sisters, Dosha Bragg and Donnie Paul, both of Savannah; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
