Obituary

Harvey Lee "Buddy" Bryant, 65, of Norman Park, passed away Friday, August 19, 2005, at his residence. His funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2005, at Pine Level Freewill Baptist Church in Worth County with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles and the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Mr. Bryant was laid to rest at Paulk's Chapel Cemetery in Worth County.

Comer Lee Brooks, Lamar Brooks, Dale Kennedy, J. W. Hurst, John Ebers and Vone Taylor served as pallbearers.

Born September 14, 1939, in Worth County, Mr. Bryant was the son of Jefferson Frank Bryant and Alice Brooks Hill Bryant. He was also preceded in death by one brother. He was a truck-driver; and he was a member of Pine Level Freewill Baptist Church in Worth County, where he served as the Sunday School Superintendent. He also served in the United States Army.

Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Mary Joyce "Faye" Carr Bryant of Norman Park; one son and daughter-in-law, J. L. and Sheila Bryant of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Frank Perkins of Moultrie and Debbie Bryant and Roger Dorsey of Norman Park; one brother, Wyman Bryant of Tifton; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian and Bobby Youngblood of Ashburn, Lovonia and Larry Wimberley of Moultrie and Quinnette and Jackie Taylor of Tifton; and five grandchildren, Bridgette Nichole Williams, Stacey Marie Williams, Franklin Lee Williams, Misty Dawn Perkins and Jessica Lynn Perkins, all of Colquitt County.
