Bernice Powell Woodall, 94, of Omega passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at Maple Court Senior Residence in Tifton. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2005, at Omega Baptist Church with the Rev. Terrell Ruis officiating. Mrs. Woodal was laid to rest at Omega Cemetery.
Mrs. Woodall's grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers.
Born September 4, 1911, in Omega, Mrs. Woodall was the daughter of the late c. S. Powell and Cora Baker Powell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Claxton Woodall. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Omega Baptist Church. She served as a Pink Lady for many years; and she lived her whole life in Omega.
Mrs. Woodall is survived by one son, Danny Woodall of Omega; one daughter, Belva W. Lunsford of Warner Robins; three brothers, Morven Powell of Omega, Paul Powell of Hutchison, Kansas and Silas Powell of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters, Hazel Intagliata of Jupiter, Florida and Geneva Pickard of Powder Springs; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
