TEWKSBURY: Maria C. “Carmen” (Camilo)Seagren, age 57, a Tewksbury resident for the past 31 years, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston.
She was the beloved wife of Carl A. Seagren, with whom she celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on September 27th.
Born in St. Michael the Azores on March 24, 1951, she was the daughter of Maria Edwarda (Viveiros) Camilo, who survives her of Tewksbury and the late Ernesto Camilo.
Carmen was raised in Somerville, attended Somerville schools and graduated from Somerville High School.
She resided in Somerville and Woburn until moving to Tewksbury in 1977.
Carmen was a communicant of Saint William’s Parish of Tewksbury.
She was employed for the past 10 years by dental practice of Dr. Barry Chudnofsky in Tewksbury.
According to her family, she enjoyed cooking, entertaining, decorating and traveling to North Carolina to visit her grandson.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Matthew C. Seagren and his wife Kristy of Huntersville, NC and Michael E. Seagren of Tewksbury; her grandson, Austin J. Seagren of Huntersville, NC; one sister, Marie F. Wade and her husband John of Tewksbury; two brothers, Steven V. Camilo and his wife Kelley of Charlotte, NC and Joseph V. Camilo and his wife Tracey of Tewksbury; also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday, Nov. 7th, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Saturday, Nov. 8th, at 10:30 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m., at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
